hosted by Ed Sullivan. This portion includes the
following segments from previous programs: a marriage
sketch where Carol Lawrence sings "In the Shadows When
I Come and Sing To You" as Sid Caesar battles a fly;
comedy bits with Jack Carter, Sam Levinson, Danny
Thomas, Victor Borge (punctuation routine), Ed Wynn,
Bill Dana (as Jose Jimenez the astronaut), Steve Allen,
Senor Wenes, Bud Abbott & Lou Costello, and Jerry
Lewis; "It's a Grand Night for Singing" from a Carnegie
Hall tribute to Richard Rodgers; Maya Plisetskaya dances
"The Dying Swan" (music by Camille Saint-Saens); Harry
Belafonte sings "Michael, Row the Boat Ashore"; Connie
Francis sings "Where the Boys Are" to GI's in West
Berlin; Sullivan in Moscow's Red Square, Israel,
Ireland, Alaska, and Cuba where he interviews Fidel
Castro; and (1963) Sullivan with Topo Gigio (the "Little
Italian Mouse"). Includes commercials.
