Summary

Part ten of this thirteen-part dramatization of James Fenimore Cooper's classic novel set during the French and Indian wars of 1755-1763. Highlights of this episode include the following: Maj. Heyward and David deceive the Hurons and free Alice; Hawkeye and Chingachgook rescue Uncas; and Hawkeye and his party set out for the camp where the Delawares hold Cora. (Presented on BBC in eight episodes from January 17 - March 7, 1971; presented on PBS under the umbrella of "Masterpiece Theatre," March 26 - May 14, 1972.
