Summary
Part one of this three-part drama based on the novels of Mildred D. Taylor. The drama is set in 1933 and concerns the Logans, a proudly independent black family living in Mississippi. The Logans own 400 acres of land and, in this segment, their white neighbors make every effort to take the land from them. Commercials deleted.
