Summary
Premiere of this comedy series set in Westwood, California, concerning the adventures of Matt and Ruth Henshaw and Matt's mother-in-law, Lily, who lives with them. In this episode, the Henshaws go to meet Lily at the train station; Pete warns Matt against mothers-in-law. Lily brings her new fiance, Gus, who avails himself too freely of the Henshaws' hospitality. Gus's honesty is doubted by the Henshaws; Lily calls off the engagement even though Gus turns out to be very wealthy. Lily's romantic life promises to continue when a local police officer asks for a date. Commercials deleted.
