BOING-BOING SHOW, THE {THE GERALD MCBOING-BOING
SHOW} (EXCERPTS) (TV)
Summary
Selected highlights from this animation series "hosted" by Gerald McBoing-Boing, a little boy who speaks in sounds rather than words. Announcer Bill Goodwin interprets Gerald's gibberish for the audience. Selections in this program include: "Gerald McBoing Boing," (which originally aired December 16, 1957), in which Gerald's talent for generating sound effects, long the source of humiliation in his life, eventually lands him a successful job with a radio station; the Twirliger Twins in "Follow Me," (which originally aired March 17, 1957); a musical routine about two brothers, "The Matador and Troubador"; and a chapter of "Meet the Artist" entitled "The Merry Go-Round in the Jungle," (which originally aired February 24, 1957), which profiles the life of painter Henri Rousseau. Concluding the program is "A Little Journey," a travelogue about a small village in France. Commercials deleted.
