Summary

Fifteenth episode of this fourth series of dramas about the Bellamys of London's Eaton Place and their servants. This fourth series is set in 1919-1930. In this episode, set in October 1929, James Bellamy returns from America with a fortune and invests Rose's inheritance. He and Rose lose everything in the stock market crash. Soon after, a visit from the police reveals James has shot himself. (Presented under the umbrella of "Masterpiece Theatre," with prologue and epilogue by Alistair Cooke.)
