Summary

One in this series of variety programs presided over by host Ed Sullivan. Program highlights include the following: Sullivan assists a unique musician, who uses an air pump and a tire to create a melody; Sullivan acknowledges Jimmy Durante and his wife who are seated in the audience; the audience sings "Happy Birthday" to Durante; Paul Anka, who is flattered by the screaming teenagers in the crowd, sings "The Story of My Love"; Henry Fonda performs two speeches given by President Abraham Lincoln, including "The Gettysburg Address"; The Wanderers sing "Shadrach" and an Israeli song entitled "Where Can I Go?"; Carl Reiner interviews Mel Brooks as the 2000-Year-Old Man, who discusses his formative years, the secrets of his longevity, the main means of transportation during his early years, his wives and children, Marie Antoinette, and the best invention ever created by mankind; Carmen de Lavallade and her dance partner perform "Willow Weep for Me"; Peggy Lee and her combo perform "Non Dimenticar (Don't Forget)," "My Romance," and an improvised rendition of "Why Don't You Do Right?"; Myron Cohen does a comedy routine which consists of psychiatry stories and other short tales; Paul Anka sings a medley of Valentine's Day songs including "My Funny Valentine"; and the Martelli Trio performs a comical dance. Includes commercials.
