TATTLETALES {HARVEY KORMAN, MCLEAN STEVENSON;
FRED GRANDY, TED LANGE; ROBERT DONNER, CHARLES
LANE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of panel game shows featuring three
celebrity couples who compete for prize money. One
member from each team is isolated backstage, while the
remaining celebrities answer personal questions about
their teammates; each team is a representative for
one-third of the studio audience. In this episode,
telecast during "best friends week," and hosted by Bert
Convy, celebrities include: Harvey Korman and McLean
Stevenson; Fred Grandy and Ted Lange; and Robert Donner
and Charles Lane. Team members are asked whether they
sensed that they would become best friends when they
first met, and whether their partners would accept a
five-year deal to star in a hit Broadway show. Convy
introduces several women, and the men are asked to
identify which woman matches his partner's favorite
"type" of woman. The teams are also asked which of the
partners is more of a male chauvinist. Commercials
deleted.
(Series history varies; this series was also telecast on
CBS from 1974 to 1977, and was syndicated in 1977 and
from 1983 to 1985.)
