MATCH GAME-HOLLYWOOD SQUARES HOUR, THE (TV)

Summary

One in a series of programs combining two popular game show formats. In "The Match Game," Gene Rayburn presides as two contestants compete to fill in the blank part of an incomplete -- and often provocative -- question; points are awarded for matching the answers provided by the celebrity panelists. After three rounds, the winner then competes against the returning champion on "The Hollywood Squares." Jon Bauman hosts this game, in which contestants and celebrities arrayed on an enormous tic-tac-toe board team up to answer trivia questions. The winner then vies for a larger prize by correctly finishing a two-word phrase. Celebrity guests in this installment include the following: Bonnie Urseth, Fred Travalena, Nedra Volz, Eddie Meka, Arsenio Hall, Ed Begley, Jr., Shannon Tweed, and Charles Nelson Reilly.
