POLICE SQUAD!: RENDEZVOUS AT BIG GULCH {TERROR IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD} (TV)
Summary
One of six episodes in this satirical comedy series about an elite branch of a city police force, the Police Squad. When a dance school instructor is beaten up by local mobsters for not paying her "insurance" fee, Detectives Drebin and Norberg go undercover as locksmiths to break up the protection ring. While Drebin tries to foil the gangsters by joining their ranks, Norberg develops a particular fondness for the locksmith trade. Packed with sight gags, camera tricks, and non sequiturs, this episode includes a fight scene in which bizarre weapons are used, ranging from a knife to a club to a signed Picasso and so on. In one of the series' running gags, a guest star, in this case Florence Henderson, is pummeled with a hail of bullets during the opening credits. Commercials deleted.
