LUCY SHOW, THE: LUCY FLIES TO LONDON (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series starring Lucille Ball as Lucy Carmichael. In this episode, Lucy wins a trip to London. Having claimed first prize in a dogfood jingle-writing contest, Lucy asks her boss, Mr. Mooney, for a week off. Initially, Mooney refuses, but when he hears Lucy sing her prize-winning jingle, he offers her as much vacation time as she needs. At the airport, Lucy misplaces her ticket, loses her luggage, and subsequently misses her plane. Rerouted to New York, where she will make her connection to London, Lucy is delighted to find Mooney in the next seat. Mooney warns Lucy that he needs to prepare for an important business meeting in New York and doesn't want to be disturbed. Restless on her first plane trip, Lucy gets wrapped up with the various amenities offered in the cabin and tries to ingratiate herself to the other passengers. Commercials deleted.
