CAR 54, WHERE ARE YOU?: TOODY AND MULDOON SING ALONG WITH MITCH (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series about Officers Toody and Muldoon and their fellow patrolmen at a Bronx police precinct. In this episode, Officer Toody, who is descended from a line of famous singers, organizes a precinct quartet to audition for Mitch Miller's sing-along show. Although Toody has failed to inherit his family's singing talent, no one can bring themselves to tell him. When the officer catches his singing group rehearsing with another bass patrolman, he visits an uncle who tells him that no one in the Toody family could sing well until they had their tonsils removed. While recovering from his tonsillectomy, Toody has a disturbing dream that foreshadows how his life will be changed by his beautiful voice, and he decides not to speak or sing again. When his fellow officers try to find out why he won't speak, Toody learns that his fears were unfounded, and the quartet plans a very unique second audition. Commercials deleted.
