Summary
One in this ten-part series of programs which presents a compilation of celebrated Ernie Kovacs comedy sketches from his 1950-1962 television career. Highlights include: a commercial parody for Jiffo floor cleaner; a fire hydrant reverses the consequences on an unsuspecting dog; a pilot prepares for take-off but loses part of the plane; a lumberjack puts the finishing touches on a tree; an Indian attempts to shoot a lit arrow; a framed picture of the ocean sprouts a leak; a ballerina comes on stage to take a bow and promptly retreating; a barber shaves his customer while desperately trying to hold back a sneeze; the monster characters, Dracula and Frankenstein, play a game of pool; exclusive clips of a film director working hard to make the scenes from his next movie work; a painter does some work on one of the faces on Mt. Rushmore; from the patient's perspective, a surgical team is seen preparing to perform an operation, which turns out to be a Thanksgiving meal; Kovacs discusses the amount of sex and violence on television, in the movies, and in literature; and a running sketch throughout the program shows a Houdini-like magician being submerged in water as his sidekicks wait years for him to reappear.
