Summary
One in this series about a California teenager named Frances Lawrence, nicknamed Gidget.
In this episode, Gidget has asked an extremely unpopular boy, Norman, to accompany her to a dance in the hopes of giving him some confidence. Her plan backfires when Norman becomes overly confident and decides to run for class president and breaks his date with her. Meanwhile, a classmate, who is in competition with Gidget to have the most popular date, dares Gidget to double date with her and Norman's opponent for class president. Gidget accepts the challenge, but must first find a way to win back Norman. Also, Gidget's father tutors a college football player in his use of grammar. Includes commercials.
