ELGIN HOUR, THE: THE STING OF DEATH (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic anthology series presented by the Elgin Watch Company. In this comedy-mystery, a honey fancier, Mr. Silchester, finds himself in a sticky situation when he learns that the beekeeper from whom he buys his favorite treat is raising killer bees. After purchasing honey from the last beekeeper in town, Silchester meets a doctor named Mycroft, who has discovered that the beekeeper, Hargrove, has been raising bees that have stings potent enough to kill a large dog. Mycroft is sure that Hargrove will turn his creations on members of the human race. At first Silchester thinks Mycroft is out of his mind, but when Mrs. Hargrove is murdered by a swarm of bees and an attempt is made on his own life, Silchester changes his mind. He decides to help Mycroft defeat Hargrove at his own game. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements.
