Summary
One in this series presented by General Electric. In this drama, Ernie Kovacs plays Sam Lund, a washed-up ex-quarterback who returns to his hometown. He is greeted by his daughter Jean and her boyfriend, who is also a football player and intends to follow in Lund's footsteps by dropping out of college and joining a professional team. The young couple admire Sam, unaware that he is that he is broke and his personal affairs are a mess. Sam's wife Mary knows the truth, however, and begs him to tell Jean about it before she and her boyfriend make the same mistake they did. Meanwhile, Sam attempts to romance a valuable painting away from Mary in order to sell it, but Mary decides to make a different sort of deal with him instead. Commercials deleted.
