Summary
Part twenty-six of twenty-six adapted from a series of novels written by Nobel Prize-winning author John Galsworthy. The series depicts the lives and loves of several generations of an upper middle-class family from 1879 to 1926, revolving around two cousins, Jo and Soames Forsyte. In this final episode, Jon and Fleur have a romantic encounter at Robin Hill, which Jon regrets when he learns that his wife, Anne, is pregnant. During an accidental fire, Soames risks his life to save Fleur and the family's valuable art collection.
(This series first aired on 126 public broadcast stations in the U.S. from October 1969 to March 1970, and its immense popularity led to the creation of "Masterpiece Theatre" in 1971.)
