WORST WITCH, THE (TV)
Summary
In this Halloween special, a young girl named Mildred fears that she is the worst witch that ever existed and worries that she will never graduate from the academy for witches which she attends. Mildred finds that she cannot memorize potions correctly, get her cat to balance on her broomstick, or fly as well as the other pupils. She is always the last girl to be chosen for team sports and believes that she is responsible when her team loses. One girl at the academy, Ethel, takes great pleasure in picking on poor Mildred. At one point, Mildred becomes so angry with Ethel that she turns her into a pig, although she meant to turn her into a toad. Ethel swears she will get even with Mildred. Halloween arrives and the girls perform a broomstick display. Little does Mildred know that Ethel has put a curse on her broomstick. This curse causes Mildred to ruin the event and embarrass the school in front of the Imperial Wizard. In total despair, Mildred decides to run away. Upon leaving the academy grounds, Mildred comes across a group of evil witches who are planning to take over the school. Mildred knows that it is up to her, the worst witch, to save the day or else it will not only be curtains for her academic career but curtains for the academy as well.
