DYNASTY: THE VICTORY {SEVENTH SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The seventh season premiere in this night-time serial about the wealthy Carrington family of Denver, Colorado. In this episode, Krystle stops Blake from murdering Alexis, whom he tries to strangle because she has seized his company and mansion; Alexis promptly orders Blake and Krystle to leave the premises; as La Mirage hotel burns to the ground, Michael Culhane, the Carrington's opportunistic ex-butler, saves Amanda's life; and a grief-stricken hotel guest blames owner Blake for his wife's death in the blaze, calling Blake a murderer as the local news films the exchange. Later, Blake expresses feelings of guilt over the fire to Krystle; at the hospital, Dominique stays at the bedside of her daughter Jackie, who was injured at La Mirage; Adam visits Blake and breaks down as he tells him that Claudia perished in the fire; Ben, who is now sharing the Carrington house with Alexis, gets a disturbing phone call from a mysterious woman in Australia; Alexis cruelly fires Jeanette, the Carringtons' longtime servant; an angry Amanda tells Alexis she will not live with her in the Carrington house and takes a job with Blake; Amanda thanks Michael for saving her life, finds that she is attracted to him, and tells him that her father would like to meet him and thank him in person; Michael requests $5 million transferred to Denver, where he has decided to return and work his way into Amanda's life; and Alexis buys the Denver Mirror newspaper and insists the paper run a front-page story blaming Blake for arson and murder.
