Summary
Part one of two. One in this series of six films based on original stories by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The series is a cooperative venture among six countries, each film produced in the country of its distinguished director. In this drama, a neglected boy of a wealthy family stages his own kidnapping and is befriended by a saxophonist. The boy discovers the nightlife of Caracas until the police are called in to unravel the crime. This program was presented in The Museum of Broadcasting's New York World Television Festival, 1989.
