Summary
A special two-hour episode in this night-time serial about the wealthy Carrington family of Denver, Colorado. In this episode, the Carringtons unite with the Colby family of Los Angeles, California, for a joint business venture that will combine Carrington oil with Colby transport. Blake Carrington and Jason Colby arrange to throw a large party in Denver to announce their new deal. Aware that he is dying, Jason confesses to Constance, but he is determined to make a final, lasting addition to his business empire and he wants to spend his time in Denver surrounded by family. Meanwhile, Joel Abrigore and Sammy Jo have conspired to abduct Krystle and replace her with a look-alike, Rita, so that Sammy Jo can acquire her inheritance. Hamilton holds Krystle in an attic, and Rita poses as Mrs. Harrington with relative success. While others prepare for the huge party, Alexis, Dexter, and Steve are preoccupied with thoughts of those who are missing. Alexis and Dexter go on a secret mission back to Moldavia to save the deposed King, and Steve takes a quick trip in search of Fallon, who has been spotted in Phoenix. In the meantime, Miles Colby is on a personal quest that prevents him from attending the party: he has met a beautiful but troubled amnesiac, and he is eager to help her regain her identity. But when Miles is convinced to go to the Carringtons' gala with his new companion, Steve recognizes the lovely amnesiac. In spite of the successful venture joining the two families, problems abound in both households: Amanda is fed up with her tense marriage with Michael; Blake feels betrayed that Adam has secretly married Claudia against his wishes; and Claudia is furious that Blake has given Michael a position of leadership at La Mirage hotel. Finally, Steve and Dominique are surprised by memories from their respective pasts. Disturbed by the presence of Sammy Jo -- who was invited to the mansion by the faux Krystle -- and irked by Claudia and Adam's marriage, Steve revisits his love for Luke. And Dominique runs into an old flame at the gala, but she is hesitant to rekindle the relationship. Commercials deleted.
