The Power of Storytelling: Plotting the Future of Media

Media is fundamentally the business of telling stories, from entertainment and news to advertising, social media and gaming. The rapid emergence of new technologies and platforms for producing and distributing content is changing the way we create, consume, and connect through storytelling on a global scale. PaleyIC 2014 explored this worldwide evolution in storytelling, including the evolving structure and platforms through which content is distributed; the importance of good narrative in advertising and how the readiness of mobile devices and interactively has turned the audience into the storytellers.
