An Evening with Dancing with the Stars

For ten years and twenty seasons Dancing with the Stars has been an unstoppable pop culture phenomenon dazzling audiences with showstopping choreography, making dance terms like “the Paso Doble” and “the Quickstep” fodder for water cooler conversation, and proving that variety-style entertainment still occupies a top place on TV screens (and tablets and phones) in the twenty-first century. In addition to its razzle-dazzle appeal, the series has broken ground by showcasing performers, including current season favorite combat soldier Noah Galloway, and the Season 18 Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy, who have overcome enormous obstacles to succeed in the competition. Dancing with the Stars consistently serves up equal parts inspiration and high-energy dance moves in a thoroughly entertaining mix. Now, just days before the Season 20 Mirror Ball Trophy is awarded, the Paley Center gathers the series’s hosts, judges, and performers for a special screening and conversation celebrating this enduring TV hit.
