The Frank Sinatra Show
This episode of Frank’s first short-lived variety series finds him hosting a New Year’s Eve party with Louis Armstrong and Yvonne De Carlo among the musical guests, and the Three Stooges as his chaotic hired help. (1952; 60 minutes)
The Dean Martin Show
Few people could make Frank laugh as much as did Dean Martin, and Sinatra seems to be having the time of his life on this New Year’s Eve episode of his buddy’s popular variety show. Highlights include their rambunctious opening medley and a sketch about getting dates for the holiday, featuring Ruth Buzzi as her Gladys Ormphby character. (1970; 60 minutes)
Suzy Visits
Sinatra not only opens up about his personal life and career to interviewer Suzy Knickerbocker, but allows us a glimpse into his Palm Springs home, as his new wife, Barbara, joins the chat. (1977; 30 minutes)
