Tony Bennett may have left his heart in San Francisco, but his soul is all New York when he comes to the Paley Center for a once-in-a-lifetime evening of his personal memories as we watch classic TV clips of his artistry together. A highlight of the evening is a sneak peek at the upcoming NBC special Tony Bennett Celebrates 90: The Best Is Yet to Come (airing Tuesday, December 20 at 9:00 pm ET on NBC), along with rare 1950s clips from the Paley Archive, including his unforgettable renditions of the American songbook and his first #1 hit, “Because of You.” NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt will interview Bennett along with Danny Bennett, the executive producer of the TV special. And the evening will end with questions from the audience.
