"Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you”—song lyrics to you and me, but something else entirely to Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), a Boston-based bail bondsperson who discovers on her twenty-eighth birthday that she is, as improbable as it may seem, the daughter of Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas). She is expected to free the residents of Storybrooke, Maine, from a curse by the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) that has left them frozen in time and unaware of their true identities as, well, fairy-tale characters. Creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis are veterans of Lost, whose DNA is evident in this ABC series as it shifts between parallel storylines, and in the epic battle between good and evil.
