The Paley Center for Media Convenes International Council (IC2010 NYC)

New York, NY-The Paley Center for Media's International Council (IC), a global forum of leading media industry innovators and policy makers, will gather in New York from November 17-19, 2010. This seventeenth meeting of the IC will take place at the Paley Center headquarters in Manhattan where top executives from prominent media, entertainment, and technology companies will come together to share insights and discuss challenges and opportunities facing global media at this important moment in history.  Delegates to IC 2010 NYC will include senior industry executives from companies and institutions from across the globe-from Australia, Germany, Finland, and France to China, India, and Turkey with many countries in between.


"Since 1995, the Paley Center's International Council has been THE forum for decision makers to hold candid conversations in a neutral environment," said Pat Mitchell, president and chief executive officer of The Paley Center for Media. "As a result, the conversations that have taken place at past IC forums have often had a direct impact on developments in the global media industry. We anticipate that our November gathering will once again produce fresh ideas and new directions for our participants from around the world."


This year's theme is the Rebirth of Media Worldwide with numerous planned discussions about the future of media and advertising, the increasing influence of social media and mobile platforms, new revenue models, content across platforms and borders, and the future of journalism worldwide. Throughout the three days, there will be in-depth conversations with many media influencers such as Jeffrey L. Bewkes (Time Warner Inc.), Philippe Dauman (Viacom Inc.), Ricardo Salinas (Grupo Salinas), Jeff Zucker (NBC Universal), and Ivan Seidenberg (Verizon Communications), among others.
