Los Angeles, CA- The Paley Center for Media (formerly The Museum of Television & Radio) announces its sixth annual Celebrity Golf Classic to be held on Monday, June 8, 2009, at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. The annual event brings together entertainment industry executives, creative talent, and television personalities to play at one of Southern California's top-rated golf courses to benefit the Paley Center's ongoing mission to maintain and expand its unsurpassed public collection of nearly 150,000 television & radio programs, and to interpret the cultural, creative, and social significance of media in ways that both entertain and inform. The tournament format is "Modified Best Ball" with full handicap of each enrolled foursome to be partnered with a celebrity player.

"The Paley Center's celebrity golf tournament is returning for its sixth year, and we are deeply indebted to the members of our Los Angeles Board of Governors who comprise our golf committee for their continued support of this event," said Craig Hitchcock, vice president and executive director of The Paley Center for Media, Los Angeles, "which reinforces our commitment to our dual mission to provide programs of value and relevancy for both the media industry and media consumers."

"We're looking forward to another great day on one of the most beautiful golf courses here in Southern California," added Steve Mosko, president of Sony Pictures Television and chair of the Paley Center's Celebrity Golf Classic committee.
