As the Nation Decides: Why The Presidential Debates Matter

Sep 15, 2016

New York

The 1960 Kennedy-Nixon Debate was a watershed moment in U.S. presidential elections. These debates between the candidates continue to be the turning points in how the American public perceives and then selects a president. The Paley Center is convening a panel of experts to explore the risks and rewards of televised debates. Our panel will consider how new technology and social media have impacted the debate process for the candidates and how voter involvement has been changed by technological advancements and new platforms.

To attend a private reception with the panel, join at the Patron level.
