SCRUBS: MY WAY HOME (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about hospital intern J.D. Dorian, his peers, and the doctors and nurses with whom they work. This episode, which marks the 100th for the series, is an homage to "The Wizard of Oz," beginning when J.D. is summoned to work on his day off. En route to the hospital, he falls into a water-filled pothole, then emerges and finds that the call was a hoax orchestrated by Dr. Cox as payback for when J.D. used to prank him. However, J.D. finds he can't break away from a never-ending series of duties, exacerbated as Carla fears the thought of motherhood, and Elliot relies on cheat sheets so that her interns will view her as "an endocrinology expert." In addition, Turk tries to convince the family of a brain-dead patient to pull the plug on their son, thus freeing up a heart so that he can assist in an organ transplant operation. The brains, heart, and courage to continue on their quests are received -- respectively -- by Elliot, Turk, and Carla, thanks to guidance from "wizards" J.D., Dr. Kelso, and Dr. Cox. At last, J.D. realizes that he can finally go home. Commercials deleted.
