FAMILY GUY: FOXX IN THE MEN HOUSE (TV)
Summary
One in this subversive animated series -- peppered with pop cultural non-sequiturs -- about Peter Griffin and his family, most notably their evil genius baby Stewie, and the talking, martini-swilling family dog, Brian. In this episode, Peter accidentally wanders into an unclearly labeled ladies' restroom at a Japanese restaurant and, seeing how much nicer it is than a men's room, decides to use only women's bathrooms from now on. After an unfortunate encounter with Meryl Streep, Peter has a "House of Cards"-related mishap in one of the bathrooms and knocks himself out, and he is awakened by the ministrations of handsome and competent paramedic Foxx Stryker, whom Peter quickly identifies as "the coolest guy ever." Peter begins spending more time with Stryker and is dazzled by his hip lifestyle, including his friendship with "1997 George Clooney," and he soon ditches Joe, Quagmire and Cleveland, telling Lois that his less-cool friends will embarrass him in front of his new bestie.
Peter's friends soon discover his lie and are offended by the rejection, and Stryker convinces Peter to go wing-suiting – and is horribly killed when he smashes into the side of a mountain. Upset, Peter tries to rejoin his former friends, only to find that they are still angry about his mean attitude. Lois suggests that he must make amends in a spectacular fashion, and Peter, for some reason, decides to complete the wing-suiting adventure to prove his loyalty to his friends. Joe, Quagmire and Cleveland arrive just in time to stop him, assuring him that they are satisfied by his willingness to take a risk to win back their love – but Peter ends up flying off the cliff anyway and injuring himself. Back the bar, Peter's friends are confused by his mention of "Stryker," revealing that he actually spent two weeks in a coma after hitting his head in the women's bathroom and thus dreamed the entire thing. Unconcerned, Peter and his best pals head out for a night of dancing. Commercials deleted.
