NIKE: PRISCILLA WELCH {ART DIRECTOR'S AWARDS: 1988}
Summary
In this commercial for Nike, a woman named Priscilla Welch is shown jogging up a steep hill. In a voice-over, he explains that she couldn't have reached the top of a hill like this a few years ago, because she was a smoker and drinker who was overweight and hadn't exercised in years. "So I started jogging," she says. "Who says you can't run away from your problems?" Titles indicate that she went on to win the New York Marathon at the age of 42. Slogan (supered): "Just do it. Nike Air."
