NIKE {MICHAEL JORDAN} {WIEDEN & KENNEDY: 1985-1990}

Summary

In this black-and-white commercial for Nike, Spike Lee, as Mars Blackmon, wants to know why Michael Jordan is "the best player in the universe." After determining that it's not the haircut, the extra long shorts, or the short socks, Mars decides it must be the shoes. After Jordan repeatedly insists that it's not the shoes, Mars asks if this is an Air Jordan commercial by Wieden and Kennedy. "I don't know, Mars," replies Jordan. Slogan (supered): "Air Jordan from Nike."
