FESTIVAL OF NEW YORK, 29TH ANNUAL GOLD MEDAL
WINNERS (1986)}
Summary
This commercial introduces New Zealand's Steinlager Beer to the British market. A man is seen entering his local pub and ordering a Steinlager. He explains to a friend that Steinlager is a popular beer throughout the civilized world. His friend decides to give it a try and likes it. The other man pulls the script out of his pocket and says that they agreed in rehearsal that it's funnier if he says it's horrible. The friend replies that in rehearsal they were drinking "Bizley's Best Bitter" and it was horrible. The man with the script concludes by apologizing to the TV audience. Slogan (supered): "Steinlager. They're drinking our beer. Here."
