LEAVE IT TO BEAVER: BEAVER AND VIOLET (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about the Cleaver family -- Ward and June and their two sons, Wally and Theodore, known as "the Beaver."
Mr. Rutherford invites the Cleaver family on a picnic. Beaver is upset to learn that Violet Rutherford will be there as well, as he doesn't get along with her. The picnic goes awry when Mr. Rutherford has Violet kiss Beaver for a photo. Both Beaver and Violet are mortified. Ward discovers that Mr. Rutherford has put the photo in the office magazine and endeavors to hide this fact from Beaver, but he soon discovers it anyway. Whitey convinces Beaver that Violet is in love with him, distressing him greatly.
Ward and June don't fully comprehend Beaver's sudden shift in behavior. Wally isn't speaking to Beaver either. In school, Beaver takes every opportunity to avoid Violet in school as she keeps attempting to speak with him. However, she eventually confronts Beaver alone and sets the record straight; she only kissed him because her father asked her to. She is, in fact, disgusted by Beaver, much to his relief. However, the two of them indicate that they may like each other more than they realize. Includes commercials.
