FAMILY MATTERS: A PIRATE'S LIFE FOR ME (3-D VERSION) {EIGHTH SEASON FINALE} (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about the Winslows, an African-American family living in Chicago next door to their annoying neighbor, Steve Urkel. While watching “Mutiny on the Bounty” on television, Carl wishes he could sail aboard a tall ship of the 1700’s. Urkel offers to take him there with his time-travel watch and soon they find themselves aboard a pirate ship in 1704. They are immediately set upon by the crew, but after some discussion Carl is made the new captain of the vessel and Urkel the first mate. Urkel soon causes trouble on the ship, such accidentally as accidentally shooting a seagull and sending a cannonball through the deck. While in a tussle with a pirate crewman, Urkel’s time-travel watch is hurled overboard and lost, stranding him and Carl in the past. In the present, Harriette is preparing for dinner guests and is worried that Carl has not returned yet. Myra, Laura, and Maxine enter; Myra offers to retrieve Urkel and Carl with her own time-travel device, given to her by Urkel. They arrive back in time and the pirates immediately seize upon the ladies. Soon a big swordfight breaks out across the ship. After a fierce battle, everyone is captured. Carl and Urkel trick the pirates into sending all of them to walk the plank at the same time, allowing them to get close enough to send everyone back into the present. They emerge just as Harriette is entertaining her dinner guests. The episode ends with Urkel on the pirate ship firing off a cannon, with disastrous results. Includes commercials.
