Summary

One in this series of comedy/variety programs featuring Jim Henson's Muppets, and hosted by the group's genial emerald ringleader, Kermit the Frog. This episode, with guest Mark Hammill reprising his "Star Wars" role as Luke Skywalker, centers around Skywalker, C3PO, and R2D2's search for Chewbacca the Wookie, who has been kidnapped by chickens; a sub-plot involves Skywalker's "cousin," the actor Mark Hamill (as himself), and his dubious attempts to book an act on the show. The acts include a shepherd and his sheep singing "Rama-lama-ding-dong"; a "Muppet News Flash"; Angus McGonagle the Gargling Argyle Gargoyle and Hamill "gargling" a Gershwin tune; Scooter performing "Six-String Orchestra" on his guitar; fish muppets singing "Three Little Fish"; and a two-part episode of "Pigs in Space" in which the Star Wars crew hijacks the Swinetrek, Miss Piggy pretends to be Princess Leia, and the vessel crash lands on Koobzain, where the crew is saved from the nefarious Dirth Nader (Gonzo) by Chewbacca. The Star Wars stars then join the Muppets in singing and dancing to "You Are the Lucky Star" and "When You Wish Upon a Star." Commercials deleted.
