CHEERS: THE MAGNIFICENT SIX (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about a group of regulars at a Boston bar.
In this episode, Cliff ponders life in an "eco-pod," and Carla decides to hire annoying French lothario Henri to pick up the slack while Woody enjoys his honeymoon. Sam catches Rebecca smoking in the office and sends her off to the ruthless Dr. Kluger, who attempts aversion therapy by challenging her to smoke "a thousand cigarettes." As the guys swap tales of romantic conquests, Henri challenges Sam to a "ladies'-man" competition to collect women's phone numbers. When he refuses, the Cheers gang laments that "Sam is dead" and wonders if they will now have to live vicariously through Henri's womanizing instead.
Sam is finally goaded into participating in the game when Henri makes some anti-American jabs at his foe. He then tells a shocked Carla to retrieve "the Babe Kit," containing all his most effective flirtation weapons. Elsewhere, Kluger's plan backfires as he finds a surprisingly helpful confidant in Rebecca. Sam and Henri resort to some dirty tricks to manipulate women into handing over their numbers, but Henri is eventually deemed the winner, giving France the victory. Sam, however, manages to charm a woman who "does everything" with her two best friends, and he happily leaves the bar with the trio, no longer concerned about the bet. Commercials deleted.
