TRAVELER: THE REUNION (TV)
Summary
One in this short-lived dramatic suspense series about two Yale students framed – seemingly by their best friend -- for a terrorist bombing. In this episode, five days after the bombing, the FBI pursues Jay and Tyler through the streets as Will catches up with Jimmy in Boston and threatens to hang him if he does not offer information about Maya's death. Tyler, separated from Jay, places a desperate call to Kim, and Chambers assigns cops to track down the two fugitives. Borjes shows Marlow Tyler's abandoned car, prompting her to wonder if they returned to the city because of Kim, and Will, using Jimmy's information, decides to track Maya's killer through his distinctive tattoos. Tyler, alone at a bar, broods about his father's deception, and Marlow visits Kim and reveals that Jay and Tyler are in Manhattan and urges her to convince the pair to turn themselves in, hinting that she, Marlow, now believes their claims about Will. Chambers demands to know why Marlow visited Kim on her own, and Tyler is surprised when an attractive bartender flirts with him, apparently not recognizing him from the news.
Kim receives a message and sneaks out of the house, eventually meeting up with Jay at his hotel. He swears his innocence to her, and she reveals that Tyler called in search of him. Jay explains that Carlton was in on the bombing plot all along, and he shows her Will's lockbox, which contains fake passports and an audio recording suggesting that Will was supposed to allow his friends to die in the Drexler bombing, which is "just the first step," in order to frame them for it. Marlow, suspecting a conspiracy, urges Borjes to keep the information about Otis Whaley under wraps, and Will visits a tattoo parlor and learns that the murderer's name is Martin. Chambers spots Tyler and his bartender friend on surveillance footage and scrambles to track him down, and Kim contacts Marlow, but then seemingly changes her mind about conversing. Tyler spends the night with the bartender and then begins to investigate Carlton on her computer, while Will tracks down Martin and attacks him. Martin protests that he was "just following orders" and gives up the name "Freed," but Will kills him for his part in Maya's death.
Chambers questions Borjes about his off-the-books actions and his contact with Stone regarding Whaley, hinting that he should not jeopardize his promising future at the Bureau by going along with Marlow's rogue ideas. Tyler discovers a photo of his father with Jack Freed of Homeland Security, and he finds Freed's name on the list of people who profited financially from the bombing. Marlow tails Kim to a nightclub, unaware that it is a trap set by Jay, and Jay corners the agent with the evidence, including the passports, the recording of Will and the telltale list. At the same time, Tyler contacts Liz and tells her to prevent Jay from speaking to the FBI, as they seem to be in on the scheme, but she tells him that it is too late. Marlow tries to capture Jay, but Kim causes a power outage at the club, leading to a chaotic stampede. Tyler arrives and holds a cop at gunpoint, demanding that Marlow release Jay, though Marlow protests that she believes them and is not in on the conspiracy. Tyler refuses to believe her – and everyone is shocked when Will arrives in their midst. Includes commercials and promos.
