Summary
One in this series of comedy/variety shows starring Fred
Allen. This program opens with Allen and wife Portland
Hoffa talking about the national antique show. Allen
then goes down to Allen's Alley and discusses with Mrs.
Nussbaum, Titus Moody, the Senator, and Ajax Cassidy
whether or not housewives should get weekly pay checks.
The final portion of the program has Beatrice Lillie
and Allen performing his "new" musical comedy, a parody
of "Oklahoma!" called "Picadilly," with songs like "Oh,
What an Inclement Morning." Includes commercials.
