SUSIE {A.K.A. PRIVATE SECRETARY}: APRIL SHOWER (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about dedicated, meddling private secretary Susie McNamara, her gregarious co-workers, and her boss, successful talent agent Peter Sands.
In this episode, Susie's co-worker, Sylvia, announces her engagement to a jewelry merchant, Francis Golightly. But Susie grows concerned when the jeweler makes amorous overtures toward her. Later, an agitated Sylvia appears at Susie's door and claims Francis is womanizer. When the jeweler suddenly phones and asks Susie to meet him, Sylvia presses her to go, believing Susie will be the messenger for an apology. But Susie learns that the flirtatious Francis cares little for Sylvia, and Susie cannot bear to reveal his boorish nature.
When Francis sends Susie a bouquet of roses at the office, the women's friendship is destroyed. Susie unjustly earns the nickname "Jezebel" from her co-workers, and ultimately must come up with an amicable resolution and save Sylvia's pride. Commercials deleted.
