FAMILY TIES: MR. WRONG (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about the Keaton family -- Elyse and Steven, two aging ex-hippies, and their conservative, materialistic children. In this episode, the whole family is anxious to meet Mallory's new boyfriend Nick. When he arrives at the Keaton home dressed in camouflage and talking about his "environmental art" (garbage sculpture), however, their anxiety turns to fear. Despite Elyse's objections, Steven forbids Mallory to see Nick again. Nevertheless, he changes his mind when he realizes that he is acting as judgmental as Alex, and he invites Nick to a family dinner. During the meal, Steven begins to lecture Nick on the virtues of an education and, feeling judged, Nick storms out of the house. Mallory and Steven have a heated argument about Steven's interference in his daughter's life, and, when Nick comes back to apologize, Steven must make a decision. Commercials deleted.
