Fox, and Goldie Hawn; emotional moments with Patrick Swayze and Jane Fonda as they reluctantly talk about their fathers' deaths; why Robert Mitchum was the toughest, yet easiest interview she has ever done; the multiple interviews with Elizabeth Taylor, Bette Midler, Eddie Murphy, and one of her all-time favorite human beings, Richard Pryor; the Shah of Iran, Muhammad Reza Shah Pahlevi, talking on the subject of women's rights while his wife is sitting next to him; an interview with Bette Davis shortly after the actress suffered a stroke; comments on relationships by Jimmy Stewart, Alan Alda, Burt Reynolds, Glenn Close, and Sylvester Stallone; a guided tour through the homes of Farrah Fawcett, Redd Foxx, and Diana Ross, who changed her living room arrangement specifically for the interview; riding around with President Ronald Reagan on his ranch in California; taking a blindfolded drive with Steve Martin, who was also blindfolded behind the wheel; a word association experiment with Dudley Moore; singer Boy George's thoughts on whether he is totally comfortable being a bisexual and being in the spotlight almost all the time; Walters's favorite people to interview including Cher, Fonda, Streisand, Pryor, and Katharine Hepburn; Brooke Shields at the age of fifteen talking about who she is and where she wants to be; and interviews, which turned out to be the last, with two of the most celebrated actors ever, Bing Crosby and John Wayne.
