GUNSMOKE: ZAVALA (TV)
Summary
One in this series of western dramas about Marshal Matt Dillon, lawman of Dodge City, Kansas, and the people who live in and pass through that town in the closing decades of the 19th century. In this episode, Matt goes down to Mexico, to a town called Zavala, in pursuit of the Rawlins brothers, two outlaws whom he hopes to arrest. He kills Alex Rawlins in a draw, and decides to stay in town until Alex's older brother Ben comes looking for revenge. In the meantime, a young boy named Paco and his mother befriend Matt and trick him into shooting Jurato, another "bandito" who had been abusing them since he killed Paco's father. Paco tries to convince other men around town to help Matt confront Ben Rawlins and the other banditos, but no one wants to get involved. When the four villains confront Matt he manages to knock off a couple of them, but Rawlins remains standing. When Rawlins tries to shoot the unsuspecting marshal, Paco shouts a warning and a townsman uses Jurato's gun to kill Rawlins. Paco and Matt reckon they'll be friends forever, even though Matt has to go back to Dodge City. Includes commercials and promos.
