HOWDY DOODY TIME {DOODYVILLE CLUBHOUSE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of children's programs featuring marionette Howdy Doody, hosted by Buffalo Bob Smith, and cheered on by the Peanut Gallery, a bleacher full of rambunctious children. In this episode, Buffalo Bob gives Lanky Lou a tour of the Clubhouse, Howdy's new campaign headquarters in Doodyville. Via the Super Talk-O-Scope, Buffalo Bob and the Peanut Gallery spy on Chief Thunderthud and Clarabell as they inspect the former circus grounds, which have now become a dumping yard. Phineas T. Bluster cites the "even-steven rule" and demands rooms in the Clubhouse for himself, Dilly-Dally, Clarabell, and Chief Thunderthud Ñ all workers for Mr. X's rival campaign. Additionally, Buffalo Bob presents an Old Time Movie, a comedy with Oliver Hardy. Includes commercial endorsements by Howdy Doody and Buffalo Bob for "TV Guide."
