FAMILY TIES: PILOT {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The premiere of this comedy series about the Keaton family -- Elyse and Steven, two aging ex-hippies, and their conservative, materialistic children. In this episode, Alex is invited to an ethnically "restricted" country club by a wealthy girl whom he is dating. Steven cannot bear the thought of his son attending a function at an establishment that fosters bigotry, and embarrasses Alex when he goes to the club on impulse and attempts to make him leave. Commercials deleted.
