ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, THE: PERILS OF SUPERMAN (TV)
Summary
One in this series which follows the exploits of Superman, a refugee from the doomed planet Krypton who uses his superhuman powers to help the inhabitants of Earth. In this episode, a man in a lead mask intends to murder Perry White, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Clark Kent in order to get even with Superman for sending him and his cohorts to jail. Since the villain and his accomplices all wear lead masks and carry no I.D., Superman cannot figure out who the man is before Lois, Jimmy, and Mr. White all disappear. Clark allows himself to be captured in order to determine the whereabouts of his friends. He learns that Mr. White is tied to a log at a timber mill inching his way towards a buzz saw; Lois is tied to train tracks and about to be run over; and Jimmy is driving a car that will soon go out of control. Superman takes off and races to save his friends. Commercials deleted.
