ABC NOVEL FOR TELEVISION: STEPHEN KING'S "IT" {PART 1 OF 2} (TV)
Summary
Part one of this two-part television movie about seven former childhood friends from Derry, Maine, who reunite to fulfill a terrifying thirty-year-old covenant -- their promised destruction of "It" -- an evil force which often takes the shape of a clown named Pennywise. Each of the "Lucky Seven" is reminded of their 1960 confrontation with the dancing, murderous clown when they are phoned by Mike Hanlon -- the only member of their circle who still resides in their hometown. Having agreed to destroy Pennywise (who haunts the Derry sewer system) if he should ever start killing children again, the seven close-knit friends reluctantly return to the small Maine town when the protean creature once again begins claiming young lives. Includes commercials and promos.
