DOOGIE HOWSER, M.D.: A KISS AIN'T JUST A KISS (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about teenage genius Doogie Howser, M.D., the youngest doctor in the country, who attempts to live his life as a normal adolescent. In this episode, Vinnie tells Doogie that he plans to date an attractive high school student behind his girlfriend Janine's back. Vinnie begs his best friend to assist with his plan by telling Janine that he went to a baseball game. Reluctantly, Doogie lies to Janine, who nonetheless senses that Vinnie is cheating. In a spontaneous moment, Doogie and Janine engage in a passionate kiss and quickly regret the action. In the meantime, Raymond abruptly walks out of the emergency room while helping with a patient. Later, Raymond explains that the patient is his father, although he had once claimed that his father was dead. Meanwhile, Doogie and Janine feel uncomfortable sitting at a pizza parlor with Vinnie: Janine believes they should tell him what happened. When the attractive high school girl sits down with them, Janine is furious as Vinnie starts ignoring her. Back at the hospital, Raymond confronts his father and tells him why he considers him to be dead. And when Doogie admits to Vinnie what transpired with Janine, the two best friends engage in a full-fledged fistfight. Commercials deleted.
