DOOGIE HOWSER, M.D.: VINNIE'S BLIND DATE (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about teenage genius Doogie Howser, M.D., the youngest doctor in the country, who attempts to live his life as a normal adolescent. In this episode, Vinnie ends his so-called relationship with Janine and announces to Doogie that celibacy is the only way he can survive. However, Vinnie's vow of celibacy lasts only a few minutes when he notices a girl named Bernadette at the hospital. Vinnie learns that Bernadette is blind and that she is waiting for a cornea transplant, and he insists that Doogie introduce him to the lovely girl. A few days later, Vinnie goes with Bernadette to the zoo, when suddenly her beeper goes off, indicating that a donor has been found. Although Vinnie is happy that she may get her sight back, he worries about how she will react to him when the bandages come off. Vinnie gets advice from Mrs. Howser about women and the meaning of love, which he takes to heart. But when Bernadette's bandages are removed, her reaction to Vinnie is not what he had been hoping for. And, as Vinnie explains his feelings to Doogie, Janine makes an encouraging offer. Commercials deleted.
